Campouts
- Fall Campout – Nov 18-19, 2007
(This is the weekend before Thanksgiving.
School IS in session the following Monday and Tuesday) - Camp Bovay – Rowing, canoeing. and rafting are enjoyed on George Lake. Field Sports, BMX, Archery, and Riflery, are other activities included in the Bovay program. These programs have something for both the youngest and oldest Cub Scouts in the Pack. Food served in a dining hall. Fee of approx $30/person.
Spring Campout: April 4-6 (Fri-Sun) - Double Lake Rec. Area
Pack 266 has reservations for 200 people in 4 group camping sites on the date of the New Moon. There are a lot of good biking trails at this campground, so bring your bicycles.

Everyone (Cubs, siblings, and adults) attending needs to have a copy of
a
BSA Class 1 Medical Form (PDF 40KB) on
file with their Den Leader and another copy with the Pack Health and Safety
Officer.

We have areas 00A, 00C, 00D, 00E. I did it this way so that we can easily give up area 00A or possibly still get 00B later if we need more room. F thru J were taken. North is to the Left.
Camping Packing Checklist

- __ Plastic tarp / ground blanketoptional but __ recommended
- __ Hammer or malletfor tent stakes
- __ Sleeping bags or sheets/blanket depending on the weather
- __ Pillows - optional
- __ Air mattress or pads - don't forget the pump for air mattress
- __ Flashlights (1 per person) - check batteries before leaving home & bring spares
- __ Folding chairs or stools not all campgrounds will have picnic tables
- __ Insect repellent First Aid Kit
- __ Broom - optional but makes cleaning your tent before packing much easier
- __ Lantern - battery type only inside tents
- __ Canteen or water bottle for use on hikes
- __ Compass
- __ Pocket knife - parental discretion/approval required
- __ Reading matieral, cards or games
- __ Scout book - for advancement opportunities
- __ Balls, frisbees Bicyclesdepending on park
- __ Fishing gear and baitdepending on park
- __ Binoculars - optional
- __ Personal items - toothbrush, medications, etc.
- __ Soap,Towels & Small duffel and sandals for shower
- __ Toilet paper - campgrounds have been known to run out
- __ Sunblock
- __ Sunglasses
- __ Clothes - check the weather forecast first, clothes just in case
- __ Scout uniform - wear to and from campsite
- __ Swim suitdepending on park and weather
- __ Raincoat / poncho - hopefully not needed
- __ Jacket / windbreaker- it gets cooler out in the woods
- __ Cap or hat
- __ Hiking boots and/or Extra shoes - in case of rain, wet shoes are very uncomfortable
- __ Skit scripts
- __ Food & Snacks *check with your Den since some meals may be shared
